A really beautiful campsite and is quiet and peaceful.
Great idea with the fire pit for adults to sit around and have a natter in the evening!
Also a great location being near the coast! lots of things to do and some lovely beaches.
Would recommend! great prices too =)
Visited this campsite and really wish we had found this sooner, its everything we've been looking for. Private pitches surrounded by woodland, lovely clean loos and shower. Easy access to water. Loved the fire-pit! On arrival Nigel showed us round, lovely man, nothing seemed to much trouble. Will definitely be visiting again very soon. Thank you!
Just arrived back from Dreamy hollow, We loved it there, been on lots of camping holidays, and finding out there was no electric was a bit of a worry at first, but in fact it made it all the better, it was so peaceful, proper camping, and we loved it, and we are already planning our next visit. this campsite is one in a million, and thank you Nigel for being so helpful,
What an absolutely beautiful place. We're overjoyed with our stay, wonderful welcome from Nigel, thank you! Having just had the most special week in this wonderful place, we've returned home to a house :-( and missing the trees already. A wonderful atmosphere, brilliant for our 6 and 3 yr old children and two dogs, magical seeing and hearing all the animals, spotted many finches, blue tits, great tits, long tailed tits, treecreepers (never seen these before), frogs, field mouse (peeping out from under our tent), bats, heard the tawny owls and saw the barn owl fly over our pitch (Taffy's Pitch), found a spectacular beetle, think it was a Bloody-nosed Beetle, having leafed through Matthew's many animal books! Have I said how wonderful this place is ha ha. Loved the showers too!! Apologies for anyone wanting to book Taffy's pitch for the last week in August 2015 - we've already re-booked! Thanks again, see you soon Nigel! Fantastic, real campsite.
Just spent a lovely weekend at this site. The pitch we were on was secluded and peaceful. The young lady looking after the site over the weekend was lovely, friendly and helpful. My husband particularly enjoyed the fire and we are already looking to book up again for next year as unfortunately we don't have any free ones this year as I checked to see if we could fit in another visit. The toad tadpoles were great.
This a beautifully peaceful place with a twist, the trenches were fun to explore as was the walk around the campsite, which full of wildlife and nature. We stayed at Pippins pitch and I could have quite possibly lived there forever, would love to revisit if not only to use the cool showers. Thank you for existing!
Just stayed for 3 nights with my partner Amy and had an amazing time. So peaceful and the scenery is gorgeous we will be returning again in the future . Fire pits are a great touch and owners are friendly as can be. Amazing for the price. A definite must for all.
Had a great one night stay at this campsite.Andrew who met me was very welcoming and helpful and had great knowledge of the site and area. The campsite is very rustic and natural which makes for great camping.I would definitely come again.Thank you
Stayed here with my partner in June, this is truly a unique site - the small and private pitches are perfect for quiet get-aways. The staff on site are extremely friendly and helpful - will definitely look to return in the future! Thanks for a great weekend.
An excellent place to stay - the nearest we get to wild camping. Imagine a wood with camping pitches in clearings, some on little hillocks, some down in dells, but all affording a degree of privacy. No electricity but each pitch had a camp fire pit for BBQs and sitting round. At night the owls called to each other. The only luxuries were solar powered loos and hot showers (one of which was cold though).
The owner was extremely helpful and knows the area very well.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
